Election today to elect Speaker of Karnali Provincial Assembly

KATHMANDU, Jan 15: An election is being held to elect the Speaker of the Karnali Provincial Assembly on Sunday.
Two candidates have filed their candidacy for the post.
Nanda Gurung of CPN-UML backed by the ruling alliance and Khadka Pokharel of Nepali Congress are vying for the post.
Gurung has the support of 25 lawmakers including 10 of CPN-UML, 13 of CPN (Maoist Center) and one each of RPP and Samajbadi.
