26 middlemen arrested from Transport Office Gurjudhara

KATHMANDU, Jan. 5: 26 middlemen have been arrested from the Transport Office Gurjudhara located at Chandragiri Municipality. It is alleged that they are charging money to the customers who go to the Transport Management Office, Gurjudhara by motorcycle, saying they will speed up the work.
SSP Bharat Bohara of District Police Range, Kathmandu told Ratopati that 26 middlemen were arrested for harassing and extorting money from customers. The arrested have been kept at the Police Range in Teku. He informed that a case of indecent behavior will be filed against them.
The middlemen charge money to the customers going for a new license and renewing the documents, saying that they will do the work quickly. It is alleged that the transport employees are also conniving with the middlemen.
