IN PICS: World Cup fever grips Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Dec 3: Most streets in the Nepalese capital city used to be deserted even during early evening hours. But not any more. 

Since Nov 21 when the Fifa World Cup 2022 opened in Qatar, most of Kathmandu’s streets have become lively and animated with Nepalis - young and old - watching soccer games played by their favorite teams thousands of miles away.
