Statute of limitations in rape cases extended to two years for adults, three years for minors
KATHMANDU, July 8: The government has decided to extend the statute of limitations in the rape cases to two years for adults and three years for minors and differently-abled people.
The Law, Justice and Human Right Committee under the House of Representatives took a decision to this effect.
Prior to this the statute of limitations in the rape case involving both adults and minors was one year.
