US Forces Shoot Down Two Iranian Attack Drones in Strait of Hormuz

Tehran. The US military has stated that it shot down two Iranian attack drones in the Strait of Hormuz area, which is considered sensitive for international maritime transport.

The US forces targeted and destroyed two Iranian one-way attack drones flying in the West Asia region, the US military's Central Command (Centcom) said on social media platform X on Saturday.

According to Centcom, those drones had created a situation that could endanger international maritime transport operating through the Strait of Hormuz. The US military also mentioned in its statement that it is fully prepared to resist any kind of Iranian aggressive activity in the West Asia region and to protect maritime security.

A day before this incident, on Friday, the US military had also stated that it shot down four Iranian attack drones. In the context of increasing security tensions around the Strait of Hormuz in recent days, the US military has been continuously targeting drones.
