Kathmandu District Court’s Judge Koirala suspended

KATHMANDU, June 27: Judge Raj Kumar Koirala of District Court of Kathmandu has been suspended.

Recently, Koirala was accused of involvement in corruption. An audio tape of Koiral made to the public domain recently where he is heard making a deal for the release of Icha Raj Tamang, Ex-Chairperson of Civil Cooperatives on bail.

Earlier, an investigation committee was formed to probe into the case.

With the notice of the investigation committee being formed published in Nepal Gazette, Judge Koirala has been suspended for now.
