ToT on criminal and civil code

Kathmandu, A ten-day training of trainers on criminal and civil code organised by the National Judicial Academy began here today.
A total of 108 trainers are being produced in the first three phases of the training, who will then be sent to the local government level to train other stakeholders.
Inaugurating the training, Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli said that the code will make the epochal changes that have taken place in the country dynamic, while lauding the effort of the Academy towards that end.
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Yagya Bahadur Thapa said it was a huge struggle to replace the 110 years old law with a new one. The new act reflects the significant changes that the country has adopted in the recent times.
