Rukum Murder Case: “Justice delayed is justice denied”
KATHMANDU, May 24: As the saying goes by “Justice delayed is justice denied”, the authorities concerned seems unwilling to grant justice to the family members of Nawaraj BK along with his five friends, who were murdered two years back.
Nawaraj BK and his five friends – Lokendra Sunar, Sandeep BK, Ganesh Buda, Tikaram Sunar and Govinda Shahi – were murdered at Chaujahari Municipality-8 of West Rukum just because Nawaraj was in love with a girl belonging to a ‘higher caste’.
A special parliamentary committee formed to investigate the case had concluded that racial discrimination and untouchability was the main reason behind the incident. However, those gruesomely murdering BK and his friends are to be punished as per the law.
Demanding justice for BK, his friends and families, a protest was staged in the capital on Tuesday.
