MC’s Renu Dahal elected mayor, NC’s Chitrasen elected deputy mayor of Bhadrapur metropolis

KATHMANDU, May 23: Renu Dahal of CPN (Maoist Center) and Chitrasen Adhikari of Nepali Congress (NC) have been elected mayor and deputy mayor of Bhadrapur Metropolitan City.
Renu Dahal secured 52,030 votes while her nearest contender Bijay Subedi of CPN-UML collected 39,581 votes.
Likewise, Adhikari garnered 52,803 votes while his nearest contender Himala Gurung of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) collected 22,192 votes.
Similarly, a rebel mayoral candidate of Nepali Congress, Jagannath Poudel got 14,728 votes.
