Byanjankar in bid to become Lalitpur-10’s Chair for 11th time defeated

KATHMANDU, May 19: Narasingh Byanjankar, who remained undefeated in becoming the ward chairperson of ward 10 of Lalitpur metropolis for 10 times since 2029 B.S, was defeated in the recently held local level polls.

Rabin Man Byanjankar, a candidate of Nepali Congress, has been elected new chairperson of the ward garnering 825 votes. His nearest contender was outgoing ward chairperson Narasingh Byanjankar, an independent candidate, who secured 543 votes.

Narasingh Byanjankar, 81, was in a bid to become the ward chairperson for 11th time.
