Nepal logs 4,636 new corona cases, positivity rate stands at 31.8 pc

KATHMANDU, Jan 15: As many as 4,636 new corona cases were reported throughout the country on Saturday, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). 

The new cases --- 3,703 through RT-PCR tests and 933 other through antigen tests--- were detected through 14,556 cumulative tests in the past 24 hours. 

The positivity rate on Saturday stood at 31.8 percent compared to 24.74 percent reported on Friday. 

While 350 corona patients got over the illness, four more patients succumbed to the disease on Saturday. 

With Saturday’s spike, the total number of active cases has reached 21,584.
