Cabinet meeting uncertain amid corona fears

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: Regular Cabinet meetings have not been held since last Monday amid the heightened fears of the novel coronavirus disease.

While some of the ministers contract the novel coronavirus disease and some others stay isolated to avoid the further risk of transmission. 

The Cabinet holds its regular meetings twice a week --- Monday and Thursday. 

“There is no possibility that a Cabinet meeting can be held today [Thursday],” according to an official at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat. “Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba himself is under contact tracing.”
