Chhetri appointed chief secretary

Kathmandu -The meeting of the Council of Ministers today has appointed Rajendra Kishor Chhetri as the chief secretary. The meeting held at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singh Durbar appointed him on the basis of seniority. 

Chhetri was the secretary at the Ministry of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation before his appointment to the post of the chief secretary. 

Chhetri, born on 9th October, 1959 in Launchaur, Kathmandu had joined the civil service on 2nd January, 1985 as the section officer. He will remain in the post of chief secretary until coming October 25.
 
Similarly, the meeting has decided to accept the grant assistance to be provided by the governments of Finland and Japan to the School Sector Reform Plan (SSRP), said Finance Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki. 

Minister Karki shared that about Rs 2.36 billion has been received from Government of Finland while Rs 274.7 million has been received from Government of Japan. 

Similarly, the meeting has decided to host an annual meeting of Asia /Pacific Group (APG) on Money Laundering either in 2018 or in 2019 in Nepal.
