Province 2’s CM Raut asked to step down by his fellow party leaders
KATHMANDU, NovembeR: Fellow party leaders of Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut of Province 2, who was appointed in the post representing the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), have sought his resignation in an executive committee meeting of the party.
Few of the executive committee members sought resignation of CM Raut accusing him of appointing and dismissing ministers in the province without any discussions.
Ram Naresh Ray, who was sacked from his position as minister, has maintained that CM Raut dismissed him without any reasons and discussions.
Besides, some of the leaders considered close to Dr Babu Ram Bhattari and Mahendra Yadav have also sought the resignation of CM Raut, according to party sources. These leaders have also expressed dissatisfaction with the working style of Chairman of the party, Upendra Yadav.
Meanwhile, CM Raut is preparing to add 12 more members to the executive committee.
