Govt recommends to Prez to prorogue parliament session

KATHMANDU, Aug 16: The government has recommended to President Bidya Devi Bhandari to prorogue the ongoing House session effective from Monday midnight. 

A Cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to recommend for the prorogation of the ongoing sessions of both Houses of parliament --- House of Representatives (HoR) and National Assembly (NA). 

Meanwhile, the meeting also decided to sack Rajesh Jha, Governor of Province 2 and recommended Hari Shankar Mishra to succeed Jha.
