Three Lumbini Province Assembly members relieved of their positions
KATHMANDU, July 30: Three members of Lumbini Province Assembly have been relieved from their positions.
The members, who belonged to the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), were relieved from the membership of the provincial assembly.
A notice released by the provincial assembly secretariat, Santosh Kumar Pandey, Bijay Kumar Yadav and Kalpana Pandey were relieved after receiving the letter sent by the JSP.
Janata Samajbadi (JSP) has sacked three ministers of the Lumbini Province government from the party.
An Executive Committee meeting of the party held on Tuesday afternoon sacked them from the party membership. While Shah is serving as Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Yadav is Minister of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives in the Shankar Pokharel-led Cabinet. Similarly, Pandey is Industry, Forest and Environment Minister in the province.
Earlier, they had also been sought clarifications after they breached party whip, which they did not respond to.
Of the six members of the party in the Lumbini Province Assembly, three were inducted in the Pokharel-led government while three others joined the opposition alliance.
