JSP leaders at EC for ‘head count’, Thakur faction’s Manish Suman switches camp
KATHMANDU, July 26: Executive Committee members of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) have reached at the Election Commission (EC) for ‘head count’ to resolve the party’s legitimacy row.
Manish Suman, who was reportedly close to the Mantha Thakur-faction of the party, however, switched his camp and verified his signature in favor of the rival faction led by Upendra Yadav.
According to Suman, he made several unsuccessful attempts to save party unity. “I am trying to have a unified party. I opted to join and identify myself as the member wherever there is a mainstream party,” he argued.
