SAFF Women's Championship: Nepal thrashes Maldives 11-0

Kathmandu, October 21 — Nepal achieved a remarkable 11-0 victory against the Maldives in the SAFF Women’s Championship on Monday at Dasharath Stadium. The standout player, Rekha Paudel, scored five goals, leading a relentless attack that left the Maldivian team struggling to keep up.

Preeti Rai also shone in the match, netting three goals, while Anita KC, Sabita Rana Magar, and Amisha Karki each contributed one goal. 

With this impressive win, Nepal now sits at the top of Group B, sharing 4 points with Bhutan but ahead on goal difference. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has 3 points, and the Maldives is at the bottom with just 1 point.
