Opposition alliance urges state entities not to comply with govt’s ‘unconstitutional’ moves
KATHMANDU, May 30: An alliance of opposition parties including dissident factions in the ruling CPN-UML and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has urged the government agencies not to comply with the ‘unconstitutional and undemocratic’ acts and decisions carried out by the incumbent government led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
A meeting of the alliance, which comprises the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center), UML’s Madhav Nepal faction, JSP’s Upendra Yadav faction and Rastriya Janamorcha, held on Sunday morning at NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s Budhanilkantha-based resident, also warned the government not to take any decision which might have a long-term impact.
