UML candidate elected mayor of Purnabas municipality

Bhimdattanagar- CPN (UML) candidate has been elected the mayor of Purnabas municipality in Kanchanpur. 

UML's Jivan Raj Thapa was elected the mayor with 6, 040 votes. His closest contestant, Bir Bahadur Thapa, of CPN (Maoist Centre) mustered 5, 514 votes whereas Nepali Congress' Toya Prasad Sharma obtained 5,512 votes, Election Official's Office stated. 

In the deputy mayor's post, UML's Sharada Bista was elected with 6,366 votes. Her closest contestant, Bhuliya Rana, from NC obtained 5, 391 votes.
