CM Shahi seeks cooperation to implement five-year plan

Chief Minister of Karnali Province Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has said all sides' cooperation was imperative to implement the five-year periodic plan launched by the province government. 

At a programme organized to unveil the first five-year plan (2076/77BS -2080/81BS) here Thursday, CM Shahi argued that the periodic plan was formulated in a way to achieve the vision and goals set by the Karnali government.

He however admitted that government alone could not do all works, so cooperation from all class, region and sections was essential. "The periodic plan has expected to bring meaningful change in the lives of Karnali people," he said, expressing gratitude to the team including Province Planning Commission Vice-Chair and experts who involved rigorously for the formulation of plans. Efforts were underway in Karnali to reduce poverty, increase per capita income and achieve other indicators of human development, according CM Shahi.

The programme was also attended by Province Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Naresh Bhandari; Minister for Social Development, Dal Rawal; Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives, Bimala KC; and Vice-Chair of Province Planning Commission, Dr Sarbaraj Khadka.
