Alliance for party merger-former Minister Basnet

Jajarkot - Former Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet said that the leftists' alliance is not only to secure victory in elections but also to pave the way for party merger. 

Addressing a joint rally taken out by CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) on Thursday, he claimed that the left alliance was formed to take ahead the country to new direction with the plans for economic prosperity. 

The communists have the majority in the country but other forces are taking benefits by weakening the leftist power, he added.
