UML taking lead on vote count in Arjundhara Municipality

Bhadrapur (Jhapa) - CPN (UML) candidates are taking lead on vote count in Arjundhara Municipality in the district. 

CPN (UML) mayoral candidate, Hari Kumar Rana, has received 13,254 votes while his nearest rival Hemraj Kharel of the Nepali Congress has secured 9,166 votes. 

Similarly, CPN (UML) Deputy-Mayoral candidate, Kamala Acharya (Khatiwada) is taking lead with 12, 282 votes while Saraswati Sitaula of NC has got 10,062 votes. 

Result of all levels of second round of local level election except Arjundhara Municipality of Jhapa district has already been published. Vote count of Arjundhara Municipality, obstructed for the past four days, has resumed from July 1, said Election Officer Radha Krishna Khatiwada. 

Out of 40,430 voters of the municipality, 30,037 votes were cast.
