Journalists working in private media complain of not getting their pay
Journalists working at private media houses have complained of not getting their remuneration.
At a programme organised on the occasion of fifth annual general meeting of Rasuwa chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) here, the journalists working in private media houses put forth their complaint before FNJ central president, Govinda Acharya.
On the occasion, Acharya urged the bodies concerned to send the name list of private media houses not providing remuneration to the FNJ as it is the umbrella organisation working in favour of all journalists.
He further said that they would make such media houses pay their remuneration at any cost.
On the occasion, FNJ Bagmati province handed over different preparedness materials need to journalists in course of collecting news during disaster to Rasuwa chapter of FNJ.
Two bags, two laptops and two torch lights were handed, said President of FNJ, rasuwa, Hemnath Khatiwada.
It is learnt that the materials would be kept at the District branch of FNJ and the materials would be provided to journalists for certain time at a time when they go to disaster-hit areas for onsite report.
