1,946 new COVID-19 cases reported in past 24 hours

Kathmandu - A total of 1,946 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the past 24 hour taking the COVID-19 caseload to 208,299 till date. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 170,632 COVID-19 patients have got full recovery till date taking the number of active cases of the coronavirus infection to 36,452 in the country.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 2,503 COVID-19 patients recovered for the disease and returned home. In the past 24 hours, Kathmandu recorded 642 new cases, 105 in Lalitpur and 88 in Bhaktapur district.

According to the Ministry, a total of 376 patients are receiving treatment in different hospitals while 74 others are in the ventilators. The death toll from this flu-like infection across the country stands at 1,215 with 13 fresh fatalities reported in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry. The Ministry stated that the recovery rate of the coronavirus patients is 81.9 per cent.
