BOP established at Kalpokhari

Kathmandu - Border Out Post (BOP) of the Armed Police Force has been established at Kalpokhari of Sandakpur rural municipality-4 at Nepal-India border point of Ilam. The BOP was established with an objective of providing security at the Kalpokhari and surrounding areas as well as to control trns-border illegal activities.

Assistant Brigade Chief of APF No 1, Barah Birgade, Senior Superintendent of Police of APF, Kamal Giri, and Province Assembly member Khinulangwa Limbu jointly inaugurated the BOP. On the occasion, Province Assembly member Limbu said that security challenges faced by the people of this border area have been ended with the establishment of BOP. Similarly, SSP Giri directed the police to carry out activities in favour of local community.

Saying the government has established 183 BOPs so far for the security of the people living at bordering areas, he shared that BOPs would be established in 221 places as per its plan. Chairperson of Sandakpur rural municipality, Uday Rai, expressed view that not only the locals of the area feel the security, visitors would also feel secure after the establishment of BOP.
