"Peace, human rights put in focus during elections"
Kathmandu - The Human Rights and Peace Society has urged concerned authority to put the national dignity, human rights, peace, democracy, non-violence and environment conservation at the centre during the House of Representatives and State Assemblies elections slated for November 26 and December 7.
A statement issued by the non-governmental organisation on Sunday also stressed the need for political party leaders and poll candidates to commit to focusing on national dignity, making clean Nepal, and ending the culture of announcing a banda as a form of protest.
