SJD welcomes formation of leftist alliance
Kathmandu - The Samajbadi Janata Dal (SJD) has welcomed the decision to forge an electoral alliance among the CPN (UML), the CPN (Maoist Centre) and the Naya Shakti Party Nepal and their unification, terming it positive. It has also decided to participate in that process.
SJD chairman Prem Bahadur Singh said the unity and collaboration among the three parties for the economic, social and political transformation and stability of Nepal have made his party happy, adding a meeting of the party's presidium has decided to eagerly join the leftist alliance.
The SJD chair gave out this information at a press conference here today. He said the leftist alliance was necessary to take the country forward towards socialism by institutionalising the agenda of change.
