Cooperating with frontline workers is a shared responsibility of all, says NC general secretary

Kathmandu - Nepali Congress general secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala said it was the shared responsibility of every citizen along with the government to lend support to the health workers and security personnel providing service from frontline in the critical time of COVID-19.

In a message delivered today, the NC general secretary expressed serious concern over the inhuman act against health worker at New Baneswor on Sunday and said it was the time to incentivize health workers to serve for human health with higher confidence. He said the government and stakeholders should understand that it was impossible to win the battle against coronavirus without cooperation from health workers and security personnel.

Dr Koirala said it was ridiculous on part of the government that the infected patients need to take concerned ministry’s recommendation for hospital admission and urged the government to immediately mend the decision. He appealed to all to take higher level of precautious including routine hygiene and food behaviour as well as strong confidence and social distancing to supress the virus attack.
