Price of gold soars by Rs 1,000 per tola

Kathmandu - The price of gold continues to soar in the domestic market. Today too the yellow metal traded at over Rs 103,000 per tola. One tola is equivalent to 11.66 grammes. According to Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold has been fixed at Rs 103,500 per tola which is Rs 1,000 more than of the Thursday’s price. It was traded at Rs 102,500 per tola on Thursday.

Similarly, the price of Tejabi (worked) gold has reached Rs 10,3000 per tola. As the Association said, silver’s price today went up by Rs 60 per tola compared to the previous day to reach Rs 1,405 per tola. The gold and silver prices are making new records since the COVID-19 crisis. The price of gold in the international market has reached US dollar 2,061.51 per ounce and the silver’s price of same quantity has read 28.49 US dollar.
