Nepal willing to deepen relations with China: Vice President Pun

 

Kathmandu, July 5: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said Nepal was willing to widen and deepen relations with China in various fields for mutual benefits. 


Vice President Pun said this during a meeting with Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Qi Xuchun held with him in Lanzhou on Wednesday, said a press release issued by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing. 


The Vice President also thanked the Chinese government for its invaluable support in the development endeavours of Nepal. 


Expressing Nepal's adherence to One-China Policy, Vice President Pun stressed the importance of continued support to Nepal under the framework of Belt and Road Initiative in the areas of cargo transportation, energy development and tourism promotion. 


He further stated that Nepal-China relations are not only important for two countries but important for the entire South Asia. Two leaders also shared views on entire gamut of bilateral relations between the two countries. 


The Vice President also attended the welcome dinner hosted by Governor of the Gansu Province, Tang Ranjiaby.


He had reached Lanzhou on Tuesday evening leading a Nepali delegation to attend the 23rd China-Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair being held in Lanzhou.
