Jaleshwor-Bardibas route disrupted

Traffic on Jaleshwor-Bardibas road of Mahottari has been suspended due to erosion caused by the local Rato River. According to District Police Office’s spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Bista, the river eroded the route at Mahottari Rural Municipality-3.
The road links the district headquarters Jaleshwor to Bardibas via Madai and Rauja. Similarly, the incessant rain for the past four days caused damages on 21 houses from three levels in the district. As DSP Bista said, eight houses at Manarashiswa Municipality-2, eight in Manarashiswa- 8, three houses at Manarashiswa-10, one at Jaleshwor Municipality-12, and one at Ekdara rural Municipality have been completely demolished.
