UML registers win in Deumai Municipality

Ilam - CPN (UML) candidate Surya Pokharel has been elected the mayor of Deumai Municipality in Ilam district with 7,347 votes while his nearest rival Hom Dulal of the Nepali Congress got 6,645 votes. 

Similarly, Pabi Maya Rai of the CPN (UML) has clinched the post of deputy mayor with 7,387 votes while her closese contender Surya Maya Rai of the Nepali Congress got 6,390 votes. 

The Nepali Congress' candidates were all elected in Ward number 1 of the municipality, including to the post of ward chairperson. 

Similarly, the Nepali Congress team won the election for all posts including ward chair at Ward number 2 and the UML panel has been elected to all posts including the ward chairperson in Ward number 3. 

The Nepali Congress panel has won all seats in Ward number 4 while two Nepali Congress candidates and two UML candidates have been elected in Ward number 5. In ward number 6, the UML's entire panel has been elected. NC candidate has been elected ward chairperson at Ward number 7 while UML candidate has been elected the ward chairperson at Ward number 8. 

The UML's entire team has been elected to all the seats at Ward number 9 of the municipality, the District Election Office stated.
