65-year-old arrested on rape charge

Parasi–Police in West Nawalparasi have arrested a 65-year-old man on the charge of raping a two and half-year-old girl. The accused is Kum Bahadur Gurung of Sunwal municipality-6.

Police apprehended him acting upon a complaint against him filed by the girl's relatives. He is alleged of sexually harassing the girl who reached his home in course of playing on Sunday evening. At the time, the man was alone at his home.

Girl's medical test was conducted at the Prithvichandra Hospital. District Police Office's Information Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Thapa confirmed the arrest of the accused. He is under investigation, it is said.
