Efforts to control drug smuggling challenging in Banke

Banke–Effort to control the smuggling of banned drugs has become challenging in the district. Though police have launched various programmes targeting to control it, the efforts have largely remained ineffective, said Banke police Chief Bir Bahadur Oli.

According to him, police have arrested about 300 drugs traffickers in a year. Police and different social organizations have jointly launched awareness campaign against drug abuse and its trafficking.
