Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital to come under federal govt

Kathmandu–The Ministry of Health and Population has decided to bring Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital under the federal government. Earlier, the hospital was under Ram Raja Prasad Singh Academy of Health Sciences.

Earlier on January 7, 2019, a Cabinet meeting had decided to establish the Academy in Rajbiraj and develop the hospital as an academy.

Meanwhile, the ministry submitted a proposal in the Council of Ministers to extend stint of Dr Sushil Nath Pyakurel, Director General of the Department of Health Services, by one year. Dr Pyakurel is retiring on September 8.
