PM Deuba directs employees to make law enforcement effective

 

Kathmandu - Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has directed the employees to make laws implementation effective. 


Issuing directives to the employees of the Office of Prime Minster and Council of Minsters (OPMCM) here on Sunday, he stressed the need for effective enforcement of laws and regulations for better performance. 


Politics formulates laws and the bureaucracy -- the permanent government -- implements them, PM Deuba said, directing the employees to make law enforcement and monitoring of development administration effective. 


Saying that the priority should be placed on expediting the implementation of national pride projects, PM Deuba directed Chief Secretary Dr Som Lal Subedi to keep him abreast with reports from concerned ministry secretaries on development spending in every 15 days. 


The Prime Minister also directed the employees to maintain good governance by keeping inter-ministerial coordination effective and to work with high morale for better delivery of works. 


On the occasion, Chief Secretary Dr Subedi briefed the Prime Minister about all the sections and structures of OPMCM, 


Likewise, receiving a memorandum of the Bagmati Petroleum Dealers Association today, PM Deuba directed Secretary at Ministry of Supply to resolve the problem surfaced in connection with the distribution of petro products. 


PM Deuba called for support from all sides to materialize the constitution amendment.
