People-to-people ties be reflected at government level: DPM Mahara
Kathmandu - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, has said that the people-to-people ties existing between Nepal and India should be reflected in government-to-government level as well.
Speaking in a programme organized by the Nepal-India Women Friendship Society here today, DPM Mahara further opined for strengthening such age-old people-to-people ties. He added that the ties at the government level might be fluctuated but people-to-people ties cannot swing.
DPM Mahara opined for changing perspective between two countries as time has changed a lot and India is not in the era of British and Nepal is not also in the era of monarchy. Therefore, bilateral perspectives should be updated.
On the occasion, DPM Mahara praised the Indian support to Nepal in the health, education, and developmental sectors.
