Abhiyantriki partners with DIY Guru to launch electric vehicle related courses in Nepal
KATHMANDU, Aug 18: Abhiyantriki Karmashala has partnered with India’s prominent Electric Vehicle (EV) research, development, and education institute ‘DIYGuru’.
DIY Guru is India’s favorite upskilling platform for learners benefiting more than 50,000 enthusiasts across 400+ institutions through their online courses and hands-on training to acquire industry-relevant skills. Their programs have been trusted by Robert Bosch, Suzuki, and Hyundai to name a few. Abhiyantriki Karmashala is Nepal based engineering firm engaged in EV research & development and fiberglass product manufacturing for the past 5 years.

DIY Guru has been closely working with the Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to develop high-quality and recognized courses in electric vehicles. Apart from offering practical and updated course curricula at low tuition fees, they also provide placement services. Their Alumni are working in top-notch companies like TATA Motors, Mahindra, Eicher, Bosch, Maruti Suzuki, and Cummins.
The global electric vehicle market was valued at $163.01 billion in 2020 and is projected to reach $823.75 billion by 2030. No wonder demand for EV experts is increasing in the global market including Nepal. However, there is a shortage of manpower in the EV sector. There is a shortage of EV skilled workforce compared to growth in BEV, PHEV and HEV sales, according to the Institute of the Motor Industry. As the latest SMMT data shows that EV sales represent 23% of the new vehicle market in May, the IMI reveals that by the end of 2020 only 6.5% of the automotive sector was EV ready
A certificate course in electric vehicle technology will start from 03 September 2022. The course is 20 hours long and covers the fundamentals of EV technology and business cases. There is no tuition fee. However, there is a nominal registration fee for NPR. 499/- only, according to the company.
This course is designed by ISO 9001: 2015 certified R & D organization in India "DIY Guru", certified by Automobile Skill Development Council (ASDC), and Empaneled by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The course is open to non-technical and technical students alike. Individuals with at least a 10+2 or diploma can join this program.
