Central Committee meeting of JSP begins at Birgunj

KATHMANDU, July 13: A central committee meeting of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) is currently underway at Birgunj.
As many as 600 people have attended the meeting, according to the party.
The meeting kicked off a day after the Babu Ram Bhattarai-led faction held a similar meeting in Kathmandu. The Bhattarai faction of the party has not been invited to the meeting being held at Birgunj.
As the disputes between two leaders, Chairman Upendra Yadav and Babu Ram Bhattarai, federal council chair, the party is at the brink of split.
