Anti-MCC parties to continue staging protest on Sunday

KATHMANDU, Feb 20: Various political parties and sister organizations have been staging protests against the Millennium Corporate Challenge (MCC) in the capital.
Series of protests have erupted in the capital following the government’s decision to table the MCC in parliament for ratification.
The ruling alliance has been largely divided regarding the issue.
So far, the main opposition party, CPN-UML has not maintained any position regarding the compact.
The protesters are scheduled to hold a protest rally from Maitigar to New Baneshwar and picket the federal parliament building.
