A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled for Wednesday.
KATHMANDU, Feb 15: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to table the Millennium Corporate Challenge (MCC) in the next parliament scheduled for Wednesday.
The party took the decision through a parliamentary party meeting held on Tuesday, according to a key NC leader.
The $500 million grant of the United States of America has been a major political issue in recent days.
So far, the NC is the only political party that has openly advocated to ratify the compact through parliament while the CPN( Maoist Center) and CPN (Unified Socialist) have been opposing the MCC in its existing form.
Likewise, the main opposition party, CPN-UML has not made any position regarding the compact yet.
