NC’s newly-elected CWC to hold first meeting on Saturday

KATHMANDU, Dec 23: Newly elected central working committee of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) is holding its first meeting on Saturday. 

An NC leader told Ratopati on Wednesday that the meeting would be held at the Sanepa-based party’s central office. 

Krishna Prasad Poudel, chief secretary at the party office, however, said the official notice for the meeting is yet to be circulated. “Though preparations are being made to convene the meeting by December 25,” he added. 

Newly elected office bearers and members of the central executive committee will be distributed certificated by Friday, according to the party’s central election committee. Sher Bahadur Deuba, who was re-elected as the party president through a run-off held on Tuesday, last week, will assume office on Friday itself. 

As many as 13 office bearers were elected through the election held as part of the 14th General Convention held last week.
