UML forms eight groups to discuss various proposals, reports

KATHMANDU: Main opposition CPN-UML has started panel discussions over various proposals and political documents tabled in the ongoing central committee meeting of the party. 

Party leader Pradeep Gyawali tabled a political report on behalf of party Chairman KP Sharma Oli at the meeting that began on Friday. The meeting is being held at the Chyasal-based Tulsilal Memorial Academy in Lalitpur. 

While General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel tabled an organizational report, Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Poudel floated the statute amendment proposal in Friday’s meeting. 

As many as eight different groups have been formed to discuss three proposals and reports tabled before the ongoing central committee meeting of the party. 

The next meeting, scheduled for 11 PM, Saturday, is expected to incorporate the suggestions from the panel discussions and endorse the proposals and reports. 

The main opposition is holding its Statute Convention from October 1 to 3 in Godawari, Lalitpur.
