Nepal reports 3,042 new COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Nepal on Friday confirmed at least 3,042 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease. According to the health ministry, those cases were detected through 17,654 tests carried out across the country in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 2,244 COVID-19 patients got over the disease on Friday taking Nepal's COVID-19 recovery rate to 93.1 percent.
Twenty six patients, however, lost their battle against the disease. With this, COVID-19 fatality tally has soared to 10,455.
