12 vaccination centres fixed for administering second dose of Vero Cell

KATHMANDU, July 6: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has determined 12 places for administering second dose of Vero Cell vaccine.

Senior citizens from 60-64 years who have already been vaccinated with its first dose will be given the second dose jabs. The second dose of Vero Cell would be given till July 8 from today. 

Bir Hospital, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Civil Hospital, Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital, Nepal Police Hospital, Birendra Sainik Hospital,   Shankarapur Hospital, Himal Hospital, Om Hospital and Research Centre, Chhatrapati Free Clinic and Janamaitri Hospital, Balaju, have been fixed as vaccination centres. 

Chief of KMC Urban Health Department, Hari Bahadur Kunwar said the senior citizens who have already been vaccinated with first dose of Vero Cell could reach the vaccination centre convenient to them and get the second dose vaccine. 

They have to mandatorily bring first dose vaccination card along with them for the same. The KMC had operated vaccination programme from 32 centres during first dose vaccination programme.
