Investigation into Bheri Hospital incident underway: Home Ministry

KATHMANDU, May 28:The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has said that  investigation into the incident that took place at the Nepalgunj-based Bheri Hospital on Wednesday evening has begun. 

According to the ministry, a seven-member investigation committee has been formed under the leadership of the assistant chief district officer of Banke to initiate an investigation into the incident.

Earlier, the ministry had directed the local authorities to book those involved in similar incidents in Solukhumbu, Dhanusa, Kaski and Morang districts. “Local administrations have also been drawn attention to ensure safety of all the frontline workers,” said the ministry. 

Relatives of a patient, who died  on Thursday evening while undergoing treatment at the Nepalgunj-based Bheri Hospital, assaulted the health workers and doctors of the hospital.
