Gurung community drives for enlivening indigenous language

Melamchi–Gurung language class has begun at Panchpokhari Thangpal rural municipality-7, Bhotenamlang in Sindhupalchowk. 


The language class convened with support from Tamu Dhi Belgium is to enliven the indigenous language and culture of Gurung community. 


Tamu Dhi Nepal’s general secretary Giri Prasad Gurung urged the Gurung community to learn and internalize their mother language and transfer the knowledge to coming generation to keep alive the indigenous culture. 


Likewise, Tamu Dhi Belgium’s general secretary Garud Dhoj Gurung said the language class has been convened to preserve the identity of Gurung community. ---
