CPN UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel States Populism Cannot Solve National Crisis

Kathmandu CPN UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has stated that the current crisis of the country cannot be resolved through cheap populism or momentary excitement. Sharing his views on social media on Monday, he said that ideological clarity, a clear destination, and political honesty are indispensable for the transformation of the country.

Pokharel mentioned that it was a big mistake of Nepali society to entrust the responsibility of removing the country's distortions, inconsistencies, and disorder to the wrong leadership.   Pokharel said that Nepali society has gradually started to realize that it was our biggest mistake to entrust the responsibility of ending distortions and reforming politics to a leadership that could not correct its own distortions and behavioral weaknesses.

He mentioned that the behavior of those who claim to change the country on the basis of loud speeches and cheap popularity has been contradictory. Pokharel said that the harsh reality that transformation of the country is not possible from them has become clear today after the working style of those who claim to change the country on the basis of loud speeches and cheap popularity has been seen as completely contradictory.
