Department of Passports Begins Service with New System

Kathmandu. The Department of Passports has started providing services through a new system. According to the department, some service recipients have already received passports printed through the new process from today, Ashad 29.

The department has stated that passport printing and service delivery have been initiated at the department's office in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. 'For obtaining a new passport or renewing a passport due to expiry or other reasons, you can obtain passport services as before from your permanent residence's local ward office, district administration office, Department of Passports, or Nepali missions abroad,' the department mentioned in a press release issued on Monday.

Furthermore, as the stabilization period for the new system will last for three months, the department expects that although some minor technical issues may arise as anticipated, the passport service will remain easy, regular, and smooth.
